Summer Art Camps for Ages 5-7

Choose one or more camps for budding artists, ages 5-7. All camps meet Wednesday through Friday.

 

Clay Creature Feature

 June 28 - 30, 10 am - 1 pm

Love animals? Or are monsters more your thing? Either way, it’s squeezable, squishable, mashable, moldable clay week! Campers create several fun creatures using hand-building techniques like pinch pots, coils, and slabs. We’ll even make our own clay dough and green slime, just for fun!

Ocean Adventures

July 19-21, 10 am - 1 pm

Take an imaginary trip to the beach through the magic of art! This fun camp gives kids a chance to explore a variety of media, including collage, painting, clay, and printmaking. We’ll discover inspiration in sea creatures, shells, and the mysteries of the ocean.

Take a Walk on the Wild Side

July 26 - 28, 10 am - 1 pm

Ideas for making art are all around us! Finding inspiration in plants, animals, and things found outside, campers will use their imaginations to explore the great outdoors through art.  Budding artists will work with collage, painting, and printmaking.

Wild at Art

August 9  - 11, 10 am - 1 pm

Inspired by the gravity-defying sculptures of Grainger McKoy, this camp gives kids the chance to immerse themselves in the study of birds, their habitats, and their adventures.  Whether hand-building with clay, creating colorful collages, or exploring pastels, budding artists’ imaginations will take flight in this hands-on exploration of the natural world.
