Share this page Aug 13, 2014 — Sep 21, 2014 Creating collages that reflect peace, tolerance, love, and gratitude, Greenville artist Judy Verhoeven earned an Associates Degree in Visual Communications from the Art Institute of Atlanta in 1984. She worked as a graphic designer until 1995 before becoming a stay-at-home mom. In 2006, she began to focus on acrylic painting, and decided to include painted paper into her art, which led to her paper collage work. As a painter may use paint and brush, Verhoeven uses paper, scissors, and glue to create work that she hopes affects others positively. Part of the GCMA's Local Talent series, which highlights artists working in the Greenville area, Judy Verhoeven's work is on view in the Level 1 Gallery. Back
